HELP! 

Are you confused about how to login to the Campus E-mail, Student Services, or Blackboard?

(Note: If you need help with library resources, go to: Problems with Off-Campus Access to Library Resources.)

Here's what you need:

• For Campus E-mail you need:
  • Cal U username (First 3 letters of your last name + 4 random numbers)
  • Password (The campus gives you a random one at first. You should change it.)
    
    
• For Student Services you need:
  • Student ID (your Social Security Number)
  • PIN (6 digit birthdate: mmddyy -- use only the last 2 digits of the year)
    
    
• For Blackboard you need:
  • Cal U username (First 3 letters of your last name + 4 random numbers)
  • Password (Initially, this is your 8 digit birthdate: mmddyyyy. You should change it.)


• For eCollege you need:
  • Login ID (CUP + Cal U username from email address. If email is abc1234@cup.edu, then use: CUPabc1234)
  • Password (Initially, this is your 6 digit birthdate: mmddyy -- use only the last 2 digits of the year. You should change it.)

Having trouble locating some of this information? Follow these steps for help!

1. Do you already have a Cal U username and password? (First 3 letters of your last name + 4 random numbers.)
   • Yes, but I can't login to my e-mail. Go to Step 5
   • No? Continue with Step 2
     
     
2. Do you already know your 8 digit student login ID number?
   • Yes? Go to Step 4
   • No? Continue with Step 3
     
     
3. How to get your 8 digit student login ID number.
   • Go to Student Services
   • Click on "Enter Student Services." This will take you to the "Student Login" page.
   • Your "Student ID" is your 9 digit Social Security Number (no spaces, no dashes)
   • Your "PIN" is your 6 digit birthday: mmddyy (only use the last 2 digits for the year)
   • Login to your account. You will see your 8 digit student login ID number on this page.
     
     
4. How to get your Cal U username and password.
   • Go to User ID Page
   • Enter your 8 digit student login ID number, First Name, Last Name, and 8 digit birthdate (mmddyyyy).
   • Your Cal U username and random password will be displayed.
   • Use this to login to the campus e-mail. You should then change your password to something you can remember--but secure (don't use actual dictionary words or names, include numbers, if possible). Need help with changing your password? Go to Step 6.
     
     
5. If think you know your Cal U username and password, but they are not working (or you have forgotten your password):
   • You need to contact the Computing Services Help Desk at 724-938-5911 or by e-mail.
   • They may need to reset your account if you cannot remember your password.
     
     
6. How to change your Cal U e-mail password
   • Go to Check Email
   • Login using your full email address (abc1234@cup.edu)
   • In the upper-righthand corner, click on "Options"
   • In the menu on the left, select "Change Password" and enter the information.
   • Click on the "Save" button in the top bar (same level as the "Mail" button).
