Finding Journals

Trying to find credible, scholarly, peer-reviewed journals?  Use these resources. Globe

Peer-Reviewed?

Peer-Reviewed or Refereed Journals:

What does peer-review mean?

Not sure if the article you've found is from a peer-reviewed journal?  Check the title of the journal with the link below.  If it is refereed, it will say "Peer-Reviewed: YES"

  • Serials Directory

Provides publication and pricing information for a very large number of U.S. and international periodicals. This is not the place to find articles! (EBSCO)
  • Ulrich's Periodical Directory

Provides detailed descriptions for more than 300,000 journals, magazines, newspapers, and other periodical sources. This is the best source for determining whether or not a title is refereed (also known as peer-reviewed). Note: This is not a resource for finding actual articles, just background information about periodicals. To find articles, use the library's Find Resources by Subject to locate appropriate databases.
